October is a month of many celebrations, including Canadian Library Month.
We invite you to visit your local library to renew your curiosity. The library is more than just books, and to be sure, “A visit will get you thinking…” During this month, the Annapolis Valley Regional Library is holding a membership drive. We are asking the question: “What if everyone had a library card?” If you and everyone you know had a library card, what would happen? Let’s find out!
Your FREE library card gives you access to books, movies, eBooks, audiobooks, magazines, online homework help, bikes, fitness equipment, cultural events, art classes, computer workshops, free Wi-Fi, and so much more. We are encouraging everyone to get a free library card for themselves and their family members. Visit your local library today and find out what’s going on!
We’ll even be out in the community – look for our library staff at Farmers Markets, schools, and community events. We can get a library card for you wherever you are. You can even apply for a card online.
We’ve got some great events in October as well. Games nights, Book Clubs, storytimes, pumpkin carving, writing workshops, and even a Harry Potter Party. You can find all the details and register for these FREE events on our website.
We are here for you, in the branches, on the road, in your community, and online. Just visit our website at valleylibrary.ca for more information. Celebrate Canadian Library Month, and get yourself (and everyone you know) a library card!
